theCalendar is a freeware calendar utility covering 200 years, starting from 1900 to 2100. The idea came to me, when I needed such simple functionality and found nothing like it.
This utility addresses the need to have a small, fast loading and customizable desktop calendar. It's listed in software directories such as CNet, ZDnet, Superdownloads, Baixaki amongst others, it has been downloaded 20K+ times and featured in one magazine.
This utility does not add events to specific dates, it's just a simple view only calendar.
It runs on all Windows versions, including Windows Server 2003, but if you have Windows 95/98/ME or NT4 you need to download and install the run-time files from Microsoft if you haven't already done so. If you are running Windows 2000, XP or Server 2003 these files are already on your system.
Due to the ongoing wave of malware, spyware, adware and other disruptive software found on the Internet, I can say my software contains no such things -- EVER -- and if you have any doubt, don't download, and more importantly, don't install.
The software is free for download, use and distribution. Copyright information and readme files must accompany the software at all times. NO WARRANTIES of any kind are given, and in no event should I be held responsible. That remains with you.
